Carol Gould on the Muslim Public Affairs Committee UK

April 7, 2009

Carol Gould on the Muslim Public Affairs Committee UK:

Over the past four years I have been following the progress of the Muslim Public Affairs Committee UK. They have gone from strength to strength and are opening new offices across Britain. If you visit their site in April they are fuming about Zionists and “Zionazis” as if Great Britain were 90% Jewish. There are actually 260,000 Jews in Britain alongside some two million Muslims, one million Hindus, and roughly fifty-eight million Christians. MPACUK likes to claim responsibility for the defeat of two major female rising stars in Parliament, Lorna Fitzsimons and Oona King, and on their website in April they are urging their supporters to work to eliminate another forty “Zionist” MPs.

Jews to blame for arrest of Inayat Bunglawala

March 15, 2009

Backspin on the arrest of Inayat Bunglawala:

Three guesses who the UK’s Muslim Public Affairs Committee (via Soccer Dad) blames for the affair:

Zionists within the government and the media are manipulating these great British institutions to ensure they are compliant with their new agenda of breaking the back of Muslim groups who have stood up against Israel.

At least Madoff stole from Jews

February 20, 2009

“It is a terrible thing to say, but some of the WASPs are delighted, they take great pleasure in this,” said[Palm Beach chronicler Laurence] Leamer, who said he’s heard several times that some think “these Jews finally got what’s coming to them.”

Howard Jacobson on how the Jews always have it coming

February 18, 2009

It’s not the Jews they hate - it’s Israel, dummy:

Berating Jews with their own history, disinheriting them of pity, as though pity is negotiable or has a sell-by date, is the latest species of Holocaust denial, infinitely more subtle than the David Irving version with its clunking body counts and quibbles over gas-chamber capability and chimney sizes. Instead of saying the Holocaust didn’t happen, the modern sophisticated denier accepts the event in all its terrible enormity, only to accuse the Jews of trying to profit from it, either in the form of moral blackmail or downright territorial theft. According to this thinking, the Jews have betrayed the Holocaust and become unworthy of it, the true heirs to their suffering being the Palestinians. Thus, here and there throughout the world this year, Holocaust day was temporarily annulled or boycotted on account of Gaza, dead Jews being found guilty of the sins of live ones.

Archbishop backs out of Holocaust Day appearance

February 6, 2009

More bigotry dressed up, barely:

Dagen:

K G Hammar backs out of Holocaust speech

Former archbishop KG Hammar receives criticism from Jewish spokespersons after refraining from speaking on Holocaust remembrance day, referring to the war in Gaza as the reason.

As Dagen related earlier, a similar decision in Luleå diocese evoked strong reactions. First the diocese cancelled a planed commemoration service for the victims of the Holocaust, but changed its decision after strong criticism.

Norm Geras on Gaza and Israel

February 5, 2009

Norm Geras on Gaza and Israel:

To hold Israel to the standards of international humanitarian law, the elementary standards entailed by codes of human rights, is only right and proper. But to hold Israel to those standards, but not also its regional adversaries, suggests a special hostility towards it that needs some explanation. Not all of this hostility can be accounted anti-Semitic. But some of it is. Only the blindest can ignore the plain manifestations of anti-Semitism now evident both amongst Israel’s regional adversaries and within the worldwide protests against Israel’s actions in Gaza and disfiguring them. As worrying is the fact that the same liberal-left aforementioned that populates these protests and in doing so looks away from the crimes of Israel’s opponents, a liberal-left that is, to a man and a woman, proud of its anti-racism, proud of its sensitivity to ‘Islamophobia’, is silent about this growth of anti-Semitism, shamefully silent, having forgotten in just the one case its avowed duty of solidarity with the victims of prejudice everywhere.

The Sun and the Jew hit list and Glen Jenvey

January 28, 2009

Get the Jews:

The Media Guardian today reports that the (toothless) Press Complaints Commission is now investigating the Sun’s worthless front page story that Muslims were drawing up a ‘hit-list’ of prominent Jews. Both Tim Ireland at Bloggerheads and the people at Ummah.com say the evidence points to the “anti-terror expert” Glen Jenvey himself pretending to be a nutjob.

Andrew Bolt on why Hamas does it

Andrew Bolt sees what Hamas wants:

It strikes me that the Hamas benefits from the same Pavlovian response of the Left that so many Islamist terrorists, especially in Iraq, have found so useful. The Left says nothing when these extremists kill Jews or Americans or even other Muslims, but it then savagely attacks the inevitable attempts of Israel or the US to defend their citizens and friends.

Which is why Hamas will keep killing.

Would Hamas give a rat’s arse what The Left thought? It would just alter the narrative…

Barcelona will not respect the Jews

January 24, 2009

Normblog spots this spot of nonsesne:

An obscenity to fit the zeitgeist and a novel chapter in the never-ending book of lamentations to the effect that criticism of Israel isn’t necessarily anti-Semitic (although it often plainly is):

The Catalunya government has called off the ceremony marking the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, which was scheduled to take place on January 27, citing the Israeli offensive in Gaza as the reason.
…..
The overwhelming public support for the Palestinians has prompted the government to cancel the Holocaust Remembrance Day service. This was to be the only public event marking the day, and was scheduled to take place in Barcelona’s central piazza.

“Marking the Jewish Holocaust while a Palestinian Holocaust is taking place is not right,” a local City official told Barcelona’s La Vanguardia newspaper.

This is how it begins.

Fisking idiots on both sides

January 18, 2009

Robert Fisk on Palestinian genocide:

Pro-Palestinian marchers should think twice before they start waffling about genocide when the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem once shook Hitler’s hand and said – in Berlin on 2 November 1943, to be precise – “The Germans know how to get rid of the Jews… They have definitely solved the Jewish problem.” The Grand Mufti, it need hardly be added, was a Palestinian.

Meanwhile in New York, some Israel supporters are doing their bit to undermine their cause:

Weird Israel

January 16, 2009

Elizabeth Wurtzel in The Guardian on Israel:

But here is what I finally know: with all the troubles in the world, with the terrible things that the Chinese do in Tibet, and do to their own citizens; with the horrors of genocide committed in Darfur by Sudanese Muslims; with all the bad things that Arab governments in the Middle East visit upon their own people – no need for Israel to have a perfectly horrible time – still, the focus is on what the Jews may or may not be doing wrong in Gaza. And it makes people angry and vehement as nothing else does. The vitriol it inspires is downright weird.

Wonder why? Spotter

May Your Children Marry Jews

January 13, 2009

(That you mum?) Anorak letter of the day:

What a silly, stupid, sad collection of biased innuendo and bigotry! Your site is a good example of society’s remaining racial, ethnic and religious-based intolerance. You believe that you are slick, but in reality you are only pathetic. This sort of racism represents the worst of humanity. Fortunately, the ADF will soon put an end to this site (yes, it’s been reported).

The days of denigrating people based upon their religion or ethnic heritage will soon be over. May your children marry Jews.

Being Anti-Semitic In the Time Of Israel

January 12, 2009

I’m not anti-Semitic, it’s just that Jews are like the Nazis. So goes the dinner table chatter, now part of the pro-Hamas cabal:

The first head of the hydra-like monster of medieval anti-Semitic conspiracy theories was the implied parallel between Israeli treatment of Palestinians and Nazis’ treatment of the Jews. This is a de facto cousin of Holocaust denial, as it diminishes and trivialises what really happened then. Since the second intifada started, 2,000 Palestinians and 1,000 Israelis have died - an appalling loss of life, but hardly a genocide. This couples with sympathy for anti-Israel suicide bombers: Israeli deeds are disgusting, those of Palestinian terrorists permissible, because of their victimhood.

Since 9/11 and Iraq, a millenarian cauldron of old-fashioned anti-Semitic conspiracy theories claims that secretive Jews (the wicked “neo-cons”) are controlling Bush, Blair and the media, and even arranged 9/11. Anti-Americanism, anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism have become interchangeable.

The conspiracy fever sounds like something out of that notorious forgery, the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, mixed with the medieval blood libel about the drinking of Christian children’s blood. This rubbish seeps over the internet from the Arab media, where feverish anti-Semitism is the norm, to insane US/UK websites. The message: from Iraq to 9/11, it’s the Jews wot did it.

Ending:

Until 9/11, Anglo-Jewry had become accustomed to prejudiced coverage of Israel. But if you were not a Zionist, as many Jews are not, you did not need to worry. Since 9/11, and particularly post-Iraq, we have witnessed a sea change. It is as if, in the mythical scale of 9/11, al-Qaeda had unlocked a forgotten cultural capsule of anti-Semitic myths, sealed and forgotten since the Nazis, the Black Hundreds and the medieval blood libels. Just words? But words matter in a violent world. This weird and scary nonsense is an international phenomenon, not a British one. Despite it, Britain retains the easygoing tolerance and pragmatism, the sources of her greatness. It is still better to be a Jew in England than anywhere else.

Hitting Israelis In The Holocaust

DIZZY looks at the language of hate:

However, what leapt out at me was what one of the posters said. It read “Stop the Holocaust in Gaza”. I didn’t realise that the Israelis were rounding up all the the Palestinians, making them wear arm bands and then transporting them to concentration camps where they were killing them in their millions in gas chambers.

Had only there been campaigns for the Jews back then…

Daniel Finkelstein: Understanding Jewish Fear

January 10, 2009

FEAR is the overriding Jewish emotion for Jews not living in the US. Daniel Finkelstein explains:

The origin of the state of Israel is not religion or nationalism, it is the experience of oppression and murder, the fear of total annihilation and the bitter conclusion that world opinion could not be relied upon to protect the Jews.

Israel was the idea of a journalist. Theodor Herzl was the Paris correspondent of the Neue Freie Presse when he witnessed anti-Semitic rioting against the Jewish army captain Alfred Dreyfus who had been falsely accused of espionage. Herzl was then among the small corps of journalists who in 1895 witnessed the famous ceremony of disgrace in which Dreyfus was stripped of his epaulettes.

The experience led Herzl to abandon his belief in assimilation. He became convinced that Jews would only be safe if they had their own national home. Herzl became the first leader of modern Zionism. For many years many Jews resisted Herzl’s conclusion. My grandfather was among them. But the experience of Jews all over the world in the first half of the 20th century - not just in Europe but in the Middle East too - rather bore out Herzl.

Is fear the basis for sound decision making?

What Israel Fears

January 9, 2009

Philip Stephens in the FT on Gaza and Israel:

For all the provocations, the Israeli leadership’s willingness to see so many Palestinians killed speaks to fearfulness above strength. To assert the right to retaliate against Hamas is not to say that it is just, or wise, to shell large swathes of Gaza. Mr Olmert might have recalled his own words: “A prime minister must ask himself where best to direct his own efforts. Are [they] directed toward making peace or are they directed constantly towards making the country stronger and stronger in order to win a war?”
Fear is the overriding Jewish feeling for Jews living outside the US…

Jews In London

JEWS in the UK - is it so bad?

According to the Government’s Young Muslim Advisory Group (which contains a member of the totalitarian and racist Socialist Workers Party):

In the current political climate there is a real danger that young people who witness the impotence of institutions that are supposed to be protecting innocent life, will turn to other organisations in an effort to make their voices heard and the violence stop.

Well, they’re right. Muslims are attacking Jews on the streets of London, and wherever they can find them.

The argument here is that the Government must calibrate its policies in a manner that minimises the risk that British Muslims will attack or murder their neighbours. If they do not, them British Muslims will attack defenseless British Jews in the street.

And, apparently, it will be the Government’s fault.

A few nutters who don’t get enough sex and football can spoil the mix that makes London a great city? No.

Jews Are Cursed, By Hamas

January 3, 2009

WHAT Hamas thinks:

I asked him if he believed, as some Hamas theologians do (and certainly as many Hezbollah leaders do) that Jews are the “sons of pigs and apes.” He gave me an interesting answer that reflects a myopic reading of the Koran. “Allah changed disobedient Jews into apes and pigs, it is true, but he specifically said these apes and pigs did not have the ability to reproduce. So it is not literally true that Jews today are descended from pigs and apes, but it is true that some of the ancestors of Jews were transformed into pigs and apes, and it is true that Allah continually makes the Jews pay for their crimes in many different ways. They are a cursed people.”

Hamas are apist, and monkeyist…

Gays Discovers The Pope Is A Catholic

December 23, 2008

IAIN Dale is shocked that the head of the Catholic Church thinks gays are an abomination. Yeah, the Pope is a Catholic:

The Pope considers homosexuality as “damaging to the future of the world as the destruction of the rain forests”. I wonder if he thinks it is as damaging to the world as the Nazi Party was. This all comes on top of his comments from earlier this year, when he described homosexuality as “a deviation, an irregularity, a wound.”

The Pope thinks homosexuality is wrong. Why are people so shocked when a religionist expresses extreme views that we all know they hold?

Imagine if a world leader said that Jews were a threat to humanity. Imagine the outrage such a statement would provoke…

Maybe they’d invite him for dinner and drinks in New York?

In the meantime Google Nazis Popes here, and Catholic paedos.
